logo printing with letterpress and done with Assholes
I printed the logo for plastic boxes last Friday at Black Rock Press. After a couple of hours, I had these beautiful letterpress prints!!! I don't know if you guys can see what it says. The logo says " AssHoles". Oops... Sorry if I offended you. I was going to write " The Human Shop" because that was my original idea, but I changed my mind. I still want to keep " The Human Shop" as a project, but I want to call these guys " Assholes". Anyway, I was printing these and Bob Blesse came into the press and said " You need some newsprint to cover those assholes". I am having so much fun to talk to people about this project and use this bad word without any guilt, hehe.
I cut them into single pieces and then put them in each plastic box.
These are the final pictures! My dear student Sebastian Diaz took these photos for me. I am going to make a lot more of these but I still have many enough to take some shots.
Sebastian also took pictures of my AssHoles magnetics.
These are some close up shot and here is a whole project shot.
I have been working on this project since last July. To be honest, I am really sick of looking at this at the moment after working on four months straight. Just looking at it makes me sick. So, I put them all aside for now. I am so done with these Assholes!

Assholes in Progress
My new work " Assholes" is coming along. A good friend of mine, George Thomas wrote descriptions about these creatures. I will post some of the texts some point. Here are some images of my Assholes.
I also just finished a new book " Social Scene". You can go to my website for more info.
Two of my books are included in an exhibition " For Your Eyes Only" at the Nevada Museum of Art. The show will be through October 20. The show looks amazing and I really enjoyed the panelists last weekend. Life can be hard and sometimes more than hard. But I can always be happy as long as I have art world. Go ART!!!!
My solo exhibition will be at OXS Gallery through November 16. You still have a time to go if you have not seen it. The show was reviewed on CarsonNow and Reno News and Review.

Work in Progress
It seemed like my new work would never come all together. Then Boom! It all started to come out great! New project " The Human Shop" is slowing moving forward. There are a lot new work to come! The images show my work in progress. Of course it is not the final look of this work. I am going to add more.
I am going to work at Kala Art Institute this summer and I will be working on something related to this project. Please stay tuned for next images!

SGC in New Orleans
I had never been to New Orleans until this conference. I was busy with conference stuff but made sure that I would go out and have a fun there. Foods were amazing. I even had a bloody mary made of moonshine! kick ass cajun seafood, drinks and awesome midnight street car ride... it could not have been better.
I loved and loved a group show I was in as a part of the conference. The exhibition was curated by Maddy Rosenberg through Central Booking in NYC. Thank you Maddy and Nina for the hard work and hope to see you guys soon in NYC!!!
I was also very proud of my students. I would like to let them know how amazing they are! They asked a lot of great questions and their open portfolio session was a great turn out. They have a great future ahead of them. Keep working hard!
